Alaska's Clearwater Lodge
#1
I'm thinking of taking a fly-fishing trip to Alaska this summer and saw some info on Alaska's Clearwater Lodge on the Kvichak River. I guess it used to be called Ole Creek lodge. Have any of you been there or know anyone that has been there? I'd like to hear first-hand what type of operation they run. Feel free to send me a PM. Thanks!

I haven't fished the Kvichak but I have spent many days on the Alagnak, the main tributary to the Kvichak. Let me know some more information on what you have in mind like what do you want to target (Rainbows? Salmon? time of year?) and how and hopefully I can give you some better fishing info.

It's all about the rainbows for me. I have fished the Kvichak a couple of times. I'm mostly concerned about the lodge itself and the operation. I'm hoping that someone that has been to that specific lodge could let me know what the thought. Thanks for your help!

Amen! once you chase the rainbows you don't ever want to chase salmon again.
