Alaska's Clearwater Lodge
#1
I'm thinking of taking a fly-fishing trip to Alaska this summer and saw some info on Alaska's Clearwater Lodge on the Kvichak River. I guess it used to be called Ole Creek lodge. Have any of you been there or know anyone that has been there? I'd like to hear first-hand what type of operation they run. Feel free to send me a PM. Thanks!

wk, sorry for the late report but this is the first time I've checked out the Alaska threads on this site. If you're talking about the Clear Water lodge just outside of Delta Junction you can't go wrong. Fly fishing for Grayling in this area can be a ball and I don't think I've ever seen many fisherman at one time. The lodge used to have a limited supply of equipment to rent and the river runs right by it so you can fish while you wait for your food which usually what we're normally after, they have a great chef. It can be a little pricey but well worth it.
