Vancouver, Canada Salmon Report
#1

[blue]Vancouver, Canada Saltwater Report, March 23/2009[/blue]
Fishing has perked up this week in Vancouver Harbour. The fish that were picked up this week were nice ones in the 12-17 pound range. Unfortunately the unseasonably cold weather kept most of us off the water over the weekend. Temperature's are supposed to get back to normal this week which will be nice.

We had our success in the inner around the QB marker and along the West Vancouver shoreline. There should be fish throughout English Bay. There has been reasonable amounts of bait in the harbour. The key to finding these feeding chinook salmon is locating bait. We have been running coyote spoons exclusively as of late. Hootchies and anchovies will pick up fish as well.

As we progress into April we usually see some good activity off the south side of Bowen Island and the Gulf Islands . Last spring we had some really solid chinook fishing. Lets hope it is just as good this year.

[red]We are now booking overnight trips to the Gulf Islands! The Gulf Islands fishing package is one of the most convenient and affordable fishing packages in BC right now. Included is 2 full days of fishing and accomodation at a seaside cabin! Packages start at $485 US/$579 Cdn per person!

Call us to book a day charter or an overnight package! Ask about our great winter rates!
