Any trouble with eh Park rangers

I just moved out to Kansas city and was wondering if anyone has had any problems with the Park rangers out here? Do they consider you a boat that has to have all the safety equipment? I don't normally fish in my belly boat with a life jacket on, will that be a problem out here? Or has anyone came cross problems like these? I basically want to know if they mess with you or give a hard time if I dont have a life jacket on or if they leave you alone and don't consider you a actual boat. Any ideas, advise, or information would be great. Thanks!!

I don't know about there, but here in Indy most of them can't decide if my tube is a boat or if it's "swimming". I have gotten so many different answers. One of the lakes around here can't decide to let me use my tube on the lake or not.
