Yes it is herring are up to catskill and small stripers are being caught as well. The water temp. is hovering around 50 degs. so during this week they will be all the way up to the Troy dam. This starts off a month and a half of good striper action and maybe some lucky person will top the current state record of just over 55 lbs.[caught in the Hudson] Good luck on the water. Chief
