High Alpine fishing
#1
Hey all, ith summer coming up, I can not help but think about backpacking into some high alpine scenery and chasing artic grayling and maybe even golden trout. I have a few spots I know support grayling but have yet to catch one. any one know some good grayling lakes and some tips on catching them? If I can catch a grayling, a golden, and a muskie this year I will have caught every sport fish in utah.

Round Sand and Fish Lakes in the Weber drainage are full of grayling and fun to catch. Round lake is at 13000 ft the others are higher so it will be a while before you can get there. They like dry flies there too. Fast action. Round also has cutthroat in it too.
