[fishin] My name is kitty, I live in North Florida and I am a retired woman which to me means I should be fishing everyday. We only have 4 lakes here but due to turtles I stopped going for awhile, then began wondering if I could make my own bait that fish would love but the turtles would leave alone. (The waters here are really infested with turtles!)
Does anyone have such a recipe you would share with me? So far the turtles love everything I come up with, OR the fish nor turtles like it, lol!!
Anyway I am happy to have found this site and be accepted as a member.

[#008000][Image: happy.gif]Hi there spring kitty and welcome to our forum. I don't have an answer to your question but as a kid we use to plink off the snappers with a 22. However, I don't think that is an option any more. Environmentalists you know.[/#008000]
[#008000]Just might want to get the kitty patrol after them. lol[/#008000]

Welcome to the site Kitty, I see you are already finding your way around but just in case you have not found it yet here is a link to the Florida board: http://www.bigfishtackle.com/forum/gforum.cgi?forum=21
Maybe some one there can help answer your question.
What kind of fish are you after? If you are trying to catch pan fish, it might work to just use a jig and a plastic grub, maybe the turtles would leave that alone without bait. Anyway good luck with your quest and I hope you enjoy the site as much as we do. WH2

[Image: happy.gif]Thanks for the welcome, I am really enjoying this site. Hopefully I can get some info on how to get something to bite my hook other than the turtles we are infested with in all 4 lakes.
