The gulf

I live on the west coast of Florida by the gulf of Mexico, some one told me that Salmon are very abundant in this area is that true?

There are no salmon anywhere near Florida. With that said, there are lots of sea trout on the gulf coast. They aren't technically related to trout, but the look like them. You can catch them in shallow water around mangroves. Shrimp, jigs, and crankbaits are pretty good bets to catch them. They are fun to catch, fight hard, and they taste pretty good.

But definitely no salmon in that area.
