KY Lake Crappie Report
#1
The Hot days of summer are just about gone and it’s time to get ready for some great fall crappie fishing. The lake level is 357 and falling, along with the water temperatures, and the crappie are biting. With fall just around the corner, the crappie is starting to move up into the creek channels and flats. Early in the mornings, start out in 8 to 12 foot of water with the baits around a foot of the bottom. Around 10:00 or so move out into 17 to 19 foot water and keep the baits around 14 to 16 foot deep. Best baits his year have been the TeeZur Green Monster filled with Kodiak and a 3/32oz TeeZur hot head Candy Green with Yellow/chart and pearl with purple/chart skirt tipped with a crappie nibble. Also try tipping it with a small shiner.
It won’t be long until the water starts cooling off and the fish start getting hot. Don’t forget to take a kid and let them catch some crappie. Fall guide trips are being booked so don’t wait.
We can accommodate your lodging and fishing needs in the same area.

Charles
KYLCRAPPIE Guide Service
KYLCRAPPIE@Hotmail.com
teezur@hotmail.co
