Middle Bay Jet Ski Cruise and Fish 8/1/09

Wow, It's already August. I stopped again at Pop's in Hampton for some fresh clams, I think Randy lives there. My wife wanted to go to what she refers to as "Pretty Beach" off of New Point Comfort Light so of course this required me to take the ski out and I am not one to argue about being out on the water. We left around 0930hrs to super flat conditions so we averaged 45 mph across the bay and felt like we were standing still. Got my wife set up the beach and the I went out for a couple of hours looking for some pullage. I first went to Mobjack Light and proceeded to catch all of the small oyster toads and small Blue fish from top to bottom. I left there and ran to bouy 42 and drifted around, caught two small flounder and three small croaker. Ran back to beach where I had left my wife and had lunch and hung around a while taking in the sites. Back home and refueled for tomorrow by 1500 hrs. We both had a great day. Covered 58 miles and burned 12.5 gals. Here are some pictures from today.
