RUBY LAKE NWR

The water temperature has dropped approximately 10 degrees in the last week, which has made Bass fishing slow. The best time is right at dusk as the shadows from the mountains hit the water. Electric motors only on the refuge and gas motors must be completely removed from the boats. Plastic worms and lizards in dark colors seem to be the favorite. Trout fishing has been slow in the ditch, though some trout were taken from the deeper springheads by boaters. For more information call the refuge headquarters at (775) 779-2225.
