Lure success in '09
#1
I was just looking at my fishing log for 2009. Unfortunately, I haven't had time to post much this year. I hope this one helps someone out. I broke it down by month. All my fishing has been done from the Chesepeak to the Finger Lakes:

Best fish producing lures -

March - 5" R.I. Flirt worm on a 3/16 oz shaky head, biggest fish 3.04# LMB

April - 1/2 oz Strike King Red Eye Shad, biggest fish 3.64# LMB

May - 3.5" R.I. Smallie Beaver on a 1/4 oz Texas Rig, biggest fish 2.61# LMB

June - Same as May, biggest fish 3.35# LMB

July - 3/8 oz War Eagle Spinnerbait, 3.89# LMB

August (so far) - 5" Yamamoto Senko on various rigs, 4.40# LMB

We still haven't found a pattern to stick to here in CT. Beaver, white spinnerbaits and sencos have all brought fish to the boat. No topwater action to speak of this year.[frown] Crazy year for fishing.[crazy]

hey, thanks for this post..maybe i'll try some of the lures here in pa. i recently started like a month ago and was using some crankbaits but for some reason didn't catch anything...now i'm using a popper..nothing yet, but i did almost get a catch, but accidently set too early.
