sea run brown trout
#1
I will keep it short and simple, Is this the right time of year to fish sea run brown trout in CT. I am looking to hit the Hamannasett river on sun (10/25) and I am trying to do this right. (fly fishing is very relaxing but it would suck to spend all day standing in the river only to find out it's still to early or missed the season[crazy] )

thanks

well I know they can get very big but I am not sure about the ones in the Hamannasett, that's part of what I am trying to find out so I get the right leader and tipit set up. Too big = no fish and too small = lost fish and both = sucks [frown]

this sounds like a question that may be better answered on our regeonal board. not that this isnt a good place to ask.

here is a link to the regeonal board, we have a couple people out that way who can better answer that question on that board.
