What areas are the Pacu's found other than aquariums? I've heard that someone had some that got too big for his aquarium and tossed them in one of the local lakes here in MN and they're going around eating the vege's in the water. They're afraid that if they successfully breed, that they'll decimate the plant life of the lake.

Spencer,you won't believe it but we got it on video,my nephew Matias,my nephew 15 brought his carp rod,and hooked it, also it was his first time ever seeing a pacu.Matias faught it for a good three minutes till the line burst,his arm was killing him,said [#008000]"that fish has alot of muscle"[/#008000] he thought he was gonna get spooled LOL.Matias hooked his while his bread was sinkingsaid[#008000]Pauly,these fish don't nibble,he just took it [/#008000] Matias had his chance,but it was my turn to battle,we had began to walk home as we threw out the rest of the bread when WHOOSH..The PACU!its back,or another,but only saw one that day?I sent Matias for more bread and chummed a bit then tossed out nearly half a slice.I kept the bread floating on the surface as they normally come up to feed,then a huge WHOOSH on my bread and it was on!
Matias Pacu got off right there after a long fight, the pacu had him alot at the drop off,he was like NOOOO! lol I told him to jump in during his fight,but he was like no way!

Pacu caught using PORK
I see Pacu eating flowers and fig berries,lost one on the fig,got one on white bread before and this one on Pork!

Story:
So yea I went fishing one night and came across two dead ducks,noticed turtles having a GO at them..
Nearly ignored it...but something was really having a GO!
Two Giant Black Pacu [shocked],felt like cutting up the dead duck for bait went back home instead for bait,then the trouble was deciding which rod to take,heavy rod,med,
ended up taking my favorite bass rod.
To be honest I thought it was gonna get away,thought I'd just hook him for fun,I didn't plan on swimming after him incase he got hung up as they usually do

Here I found two dead ducks at the lake.
Two Pacu possibly a breeding pair swimming around them eating them bits by bits check out the video P.
Seen them following a mother Muskovie with younglings

I only use fruits to catch Pacus fish. Its tasted so cool so i love to catch them. Once get hurt by one too as they have sharp teeths.

I guess they get bigger here in south Florida? First Pacu movie on bft check it out.
