How much has today’s economy effected your fishing this year

2011, and gas prices are cutting my fishing trips in half [frown]. I've also aquired a new truck, and thats not helping much fuel consumption lol. I can bring out allot more stuff but it's costing a bit more now.

Only in my dreams. I haven't seen it. If anything, I see more anglers because they are staying at their destinations longer than usual to justify the gas expense. Fewer quick trips, more "go and stay a while" trips. On my local lake and river (Gorge/Green) for example, more will come and stay for a week rather than make several 1-2 day trips.
