Lower Provo on Veterans Day
#1
Had a nice stretch of river above the tunnel all to myself from 3 to dark. Too bad more businesses don't give this day off *mine doesn't either) but I'll take advantage, I believe I've earned it.

Picked up a 13" brown on the second cast on a Platte River streamer. Lately that's been a sign I'm going to have a slow day rather than hot fishing. More than an hour before I landed another fish despite numerous strikes on the streamer and breaking off a nice fish on a glow bug. Between 4:45 to 5:20 the fishing got hot on a glow bug. Ranging in size from14 - 16", all browns with one Rainbow Pig. Landed 6 total.

Water is low and clear, last week it was high and the streamer was the only thing that worked. Lots of spawning redds to watch out for and active spawners. I'm sure I interrupted the coitus of a couple fish but with the high number of browns on the lower they can handle it.

Great time to fish the river. Hope this is helpful.
