Thanksgiving Recon--Jet Ski Catching Striped Bass
#1
I departed Crab Creek at Lynhaven Inlet in Virginia Beach at 0930 hrs and went straight for the 3rd Island of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. Air temp was 57 and water was the same. It was a little foggy and drizzly but a beautiful day for fishing with relatively calm and 3 foot ocean swells.
I casted live spot at the rocks off the island and caught at least a dozen nice Striped Bass from 24 to 33 inches. I kept a 25 and 27. All were healthy looking and covered with sea lice (migratory). Almost every time I was reeling in one, two or three others were following. Back at the ramp by 1300. Hope everyone has a Happy and healthy Thanksgiving day, I will be at my Mom and Dad's where the food and company is best. I live for my mother's apple pie and my dads stuffing. Here are some pictures from today.
