Blue lakes

I am heading out into the west desert next week. I am going to be staying near the blue lakes, and intend to fish a bit while I am out there. I have never been out in that area. I will be on float tube. Any advice or suggestions on where to look first and what to try would be greatly appreciated.. I kind of smell like skunk and am hoping the hot springs of blue lake might wash that off.
