Kentucky Lake & Lake Barkley
#1
Crappie fishing has been very slow this past week. The lakes are turning over and the crappie are really scattered. The turn over will really help fishing to get to the fall patterns and move the crappie shallow. Largemouth are fair to good very early and late on spinnerbaits and topwater baits. After the sun comes up most largemouths are being caught on shallow to medium running crankbaits along the points. Bluegill are good along the docks and deep banks on crickets and nightcrawlers. Catfishing has improved with the cats moving to the rocky points where deep water is close. Cutbait and nightcrawlers are working best. Whitebass fishing is good when they are found. They are moving into the mouths of the major baits to chase the baitfish.

TIP: For security reasons the officials will not let fishermen get too close to the face of the big dams.

BIT AND PIECES: And we will all shine on.

www.kentuckylakebarkley.com
