BFL Gator Division to tangle on Kissimmee River
#1
LAKE WALES, Fla. (Feb. 10, 2010) - The FLW Bass Fishing League is headed to the Kissimmee River Feb. 20 for the first of five stops in the Gator Division series. As many as 400 pro and co-anglers will be competing for top awards of up to $8,000 and $3,000, respectively.

"It's kind of a yo-yo right now with this cold weather," said FLW Tour pro Terry Seagraves of Kissimmee, Fla. "If the weather straightens out, you could see a major spawn."

Seagraves said he would expect anglers to catch the majority of fish on lipless crankbaits and small crankbaits in open water during the tournament.

Anglers will take off from Camp Mack's River Resort located at 14900 Camp Mack Road in Lake Wales, Fla., at 7 a.m. Weigh-in will be held at Camp Mack's River Resort beginning at 3 p.m. Takeoffs and weigh-ins are free and open to the public.

The Kissimmee River BFL tournament is being hosted by the Central Florida Sports Commission.

Bass Fishing League competition is a 24-division league circuit devoted to weekend anglers, that offers even bigger prizes to qualifiers of the regional championship and those who make it to one of the longest-running championships in all of competitive bass fishing - the BFL All-American presented by Chevy. Top winners in the BFL can move up to the American Fishing Series or even the FLW Tour.
