Tho' we had conditions of solid ice, the 16 inches of snow, including the 8 inches of wet snow this week has caused stress cracks to break and become week under al the weight of the snow. 10 inches of ice is not a lot of ice when all the weight of heavy snow.
this means that conditions on the ice has become hazzardous. this also means that water will creep up on top the ice
a snow mobile went through the ice yesterday in white lake. the driver survived with aid of a neighbor who saw snowmobiler go though.
so I am asking every one to be carefull, and be safe
