[Image: wildhorseres.jpg]Water levels are dropping fast and the State Park boat ramp is out of the water. Small car top type boats only are recommended for launching. The algae is starting to bloom, which means that the trout fishing will be slow except in early morning or late evening. Perch fishing is very good with anglers using chartreuse or white crappie jigs tipped with worms, worms by themselves and mealworms. The island by the boat ramp appears fished out for perch and they are probably moving to deeper water, so head towards the canyon by the dam and start fishing at about 15 feet and go deeper until you find them. Fishing for catfish is slow, while bass fishing is fair.

[#ff0000]You may keep one bass 15 inches or larger. [/#ff0000]
