WILLIAMS AND MOOSELOOK RETURN AS LCI SPONSORS
#1
Colchester, Vermont-Lake Champlain International, Inc. (LCI) is pleased to announce that Brecks Inc., manufacturer of Williams and Mooselook lures, will return as a sponsor of the 28th Annual LCI Father's Day Fishing Derby. The nearly 30-year old family-oriented derby draws more than 5,500 people from more than 30 states for the weekend.

"Williams and Mooselook lures have been a staple in trout and salmon fishing on Lake Champlain for decades. We appreciate their enthusiasm in supporting our organization and the positive promotion they receive. It is a safe bet that the 2008 salmon division winner will not be the last prize winning fish caught on a Williams or Mooselook lure," said Chris Baker, LCI Events Director.

"Williams and Mooselook lures have been an LCI sponsor for over a decade and will continue to be. This high profile multi-tiered and multi-species event on the largest body of water in the Northeast, Lake Champlain, attracts 1000's of anglers (5200 in 2008) from all over the country and Canada as well. It is well run and well attended and we feel the sponsorship cost to us, as a manufacturer, is a well spent investment in promoting our brands. As an added bonus in 2008, the salmon division winner was using a Mooselook lure," said Mark Stiffel, V.P. Marketing, Brecks International.

Between them, Williams and Mooselook have a century and a half of experience under their belts. Williams history dates back to 1923 and Mooselooks to 1938. That's over 150 years of proven results from anglers. Both brands are best known for their salmon and trout spoons.

The Williams Quicksilver is a Champlain favorite with area guides. The Dartee and Mooselook Wobbler, as is, or run behind a Williams Wabler or Whitefish as an attractor, are both winning combinations for trout and salmon. Mix and match and "match the hatch" using different sizes and weights.

The Mooselook Thinfish sports the same jewelry finishes on this ultrathin 1/8 oz. 3" spoon, giving it plenty of action and visibility at any speed. It is deadly for lake trout as well as for salmon and rainbows.
