Chain Pickerel lures
#1
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post my question? But here it goes.

I have recently gotten into fishing for chain pickerel. I have had good luck with rapalas ,spinnerbaits, weedless spoons. Are there any other lures that are good for chains?

Thanks in Advance!!

when i fish for pike i cant seem to keep the pickerel off my River2Sea S-Waver. Drives me crazy. They are fun at first but after a while it just gets annoying.

I haven't found a pickeral yet that didn't like anything moving in the water. Soft plastics work great like flukes. If that doesn't work throw something you don't want to loose, I'm sure they will attack that.

Yeah a lot of people around here hate them. But I always have a good time catching them when nothing else is biting.

That is the good thing about them. They can pick up a very slow day, with some aggressive strikes.

LOL it could have been a slow day if there was no pickerel, but i will never know. what i think needs to happen is a pickerel take my lure, then a big pike see the struggle and take both the pickerel and my lure. Now that would be sweet!

[#005000]gongsi20100, what is the shoes & jersey's have to do with fishing for Pickerel? As for CDBHunter, have you tried Mepps Minnow, Daredevil's - yellow with black diamonds and use Indiana double spinners. They are killers for Pickerel and Pike when I use to live in NJ. Good Luck![/#005000]
