Becoming an Outdoors-Woman, California posts 2010 Schedule
#1
The Becoming an Outdoors-Woman, California organization has posted the 2010 schedule of events on their newly designed website at www.bowca.org.

This marks the fifth year as a non-profit organization in California. The outdoor skills workshops cater to the beginner or intermediate outdoors-woman. All equipment is provided so the participant doesn't have to invest in equipment before they know if they want to pursue that particular outdoor skill.

Topic specific workshops include fly fishing, trap and sporting clays, ATVs and dirt bikes, outdoor cooking, wildlife and nature drawing, using hiking poles for hiking and coastal exploration, and a guided pheasant hunt.

The 3-day multi-course workshop covers introductions to kayaking, map and compass, GPS, personal self-defense, trap (shotgunning), fly fishing, fly tying, hiking poles, archery, first aid, camping and backpacking, outdoor and Dutch oven cooking, knot tying and more.

It also includes two nights at the beautiful Wonder Valley Ranch, seven delicious meals, four outdoor skills sessions of your choice, all equipment, raffles and auctions, and entertainment.

The new friendships, the laughter, and the renewed self-esteem are all for free!

For information about any of the following workshops, go to www.bowca.org or call 530-347-0227.
