ENVER, Colorado--With fishing season under way at Colorado lakes and reservoirs, the Colorado Division of Wildlife reminds anglers to be aware of the following resources and information before heading to local waters:

New Fishing-License Year Begins April 1

Under regulations approved by the Colorado Wildlife Commission, annual fishing, senior fishing, combination fishing and small game licenses, and habitat stamps are now valid from April 1 through March 31 of the following year. All 2009 annual licenses and stamps expired March 31.

Anglers can purchase 2010 licenses and stamps online at: (http://wildlife.state.co.us/ShopDOW/AppsAndLicenses/), by phone (1-800-244-5613) or at statewide DOW offices and license agents.

2010 Colorado Fishing Regulations Brochure Now Available

The "2010 Colorado Fishing Regulations Brochure" is now available at DOW offices and license agents. Brochures include statewide fishing regulations, license fees and bag and possession limits. The regulations brochure is valid from April 1 through March 31, coinciding with annual fishing licenses.

Debuting this year, an interactive "flip-format" brochure is available on the DOW Web site. The all-new online brochure features embedded instructional videos, links to related Web content, a convenient "search" feature and magnification options for improved readability.
