EMERGENCY PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER CLOSING 2009/2010 NORTHERN SHRIMP FISHERY

The Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission's Northern Shrimp Section will hold a meeting and public hearing via conference call on Friday, April 30, 2010, at 9:30 a.m. to review preliminary northern shrimp landings data and determine whether action is needed to prevent significant landings overages that might occur if the fishery continues through May 29. The meeting will serve as the N.H. Fish and Game Department's public hearing on the issue. MARINE RULE HEARING MAY 10, 2010, ON GEAR RESTRICTIONS, SALTERS AND THE WINNICUT RIVER

The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department will hold a public hearing on proposed marine rule changes on Monday, May 10, 2010, at 7 p.m., at the Urban Forestry Center, 45 Elwyn Road, Portsmouth, N.H. The proposed rules would affect those taking marine fish by gill net, mobile gear or hook gear and people taking salters (sea-run trout) in the Winnicut River in Greenland, N.H.
