WORK UNDERWAY ON NEW PURITY LAKE CARTOP BOAT ACCESS FACILITY IN EATON, N.H.; AREA CLOSED TO PUBLIC USE DURING CONSTRUCTION

CONCORD, N.H. - Anglers, canoeists and kayakers will have a new cartop boat access site to enjoy on Purity Lake in Eaton, N.H., this summer, once work is completed on a new cartop boat access site being built there by the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department. The public is advised that the site is closed to public use until construction is completed. The anticipated date for the site to be open is June 30, 2010. The new site will include a parking area and a terraced path to a cartop boat launching area on the water's edge.

Get the inside scoop on Fish and Game's current boat access projects and facilities from Rick Fink, Chief of Facilities and Lands by listening in on Fish and Game's April Radio Diner Podcast. Go to http://blog.wildnh.com or find it on the New Hampshire Fish and Game website at http://www.wildnh.com/broadcast. Anyone with a computer can listen in, or you can download the show for listening on an iPod or other mobile device.

New Hampshire's Public Boat Access Program is funded through boat registration fees and federal Sport Fish and Wildlife Restoration funds, a true user-pay, user-benefit program. Fish and Game's Facilities and Lands Division acquires land for public water access sites, refurbishes existing sites and builds new public boat access areas.

The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department works in partnership with the public to conserve, manage and protect the state's fish, wildlife and marine resources and their habitats. Visit http://www.wildnh.com.
