Sniffing Out Fish On The "Rock Hound"
#1
I had the opportunity last night to go fishing with PA Petey on his 34 Luhrs "Rock Hound". It was myself, Pete and Mike Wells. We departed Sunset Boating in Hampton Virginia at around 1720 hrs and went across the Chesapeake Bay to the Third Island of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. We anchored up over the tube and caught a couple of Togs and some Oyster Toads using fiddler crabs for bait. As the sun was setting we pulled up anchor and headed to Nautilus Shoals on the ocean side of the High Rise where we set up for some Black or Red Drum. We put out several line with fresh crab and clams on fish finder rigs. No drum for us be we were visited by a couple of dog sharks and one run that may have been a black or red. I had a great time fishing with Pete and Mike, it was a moon filled evening ride back to Hampton at 2400 hrs. Here are a couple of pictures.
