Books are great to learn the basics. The best way
and more fun is to get out there and go for it [Wink].
It may seem kinda hard at first but after couple
of times.................................
Enjoy the sport and welcome a board. [Smile]

I agree with Peter. Fly Fishing is all about hands on practice. There is a little rod by Echo for couch practice[cool]

Learn the proper casting stroke. Don't break the wrist, and try a book in your casting arm pit. Painting the underside of a shelve, not a windshield wiper.

Also think of throwing a ball. to throw 15' requires little arm movement, bit to throw 150' arm way out in back and long follow through.

Get the cast down, the rest all falls in place.

Welcome and keep the questions coming.
