Pt.Jude north to Narr.
#1
Oct 20th

We hit the towers in Narragansett around 11:00 am yesterday morning. Caught a few rat blues around three pounds a few hundred yards from shore. It was the only place we encountered any surface bait during the whole morning and the only concentration of bluefish we would find.
Sea swells made fishing the South shore difficult again. Water still dirty. What a great day weather wise.

Along Black Point there was a small pod maybe three albies. Wouldn't take the take but it was fun seeing 'em flocking thru the surf like dolfins.

Ray,
Thanks for the report...plenty of blues around Vineyard Sound these days as well...a tad light on large stripers, though...might be getting near season's end :-(

Jerry Vovcsko
Moderator: Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island Forums
Hey Dave...nice web site you've got there. As to striper season, naw, it hasn't really started up yet...another 2 1/2 weeks at the earliest I'd say...and more like the second week of May if you want to be sure. But the stripers are coming, they surely are well on their way by now. How's it down around you?

Jerry Vovcsko
Moderator: Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island Forums
