Pike fishing is picking up considerably in about 15-20 feet of water right in the pike weedbeds. Both live bait and body baits like Rapalas are working.

Caribou lakes fishing is starting to heat up now with Bass and Perch coming in. Go natural , use minnows, crawlers or leeches . Salmon fishing in the eastern upper panisula ? yup , dis be da start of it , don't ya know!

as i was told , " don't let da wedder man bugger up yer plans , dare's plenty o' good fishin fer a man if he wants it ! "

gotta love that U.P. lingo !

The salmon are hot in the DeTour area .there hitting on spoons , squids, and hootchie mammas.

The Walleye have started to move onto the rocks to feed and are in the St. Marys River They are using crawlers, bottom bouncers, lead head jigs , go early in the mornings and late in the evenings.

Lots of smallmouth action going on in and around the bays and islands of Drummond Island. use leaches or try a few spinner or buzz baits .
