Lake Toho
Fishing Report
by: Captain Chuck Matthews
http://www.centralfloridabassfishing.com
e-mail: CaptainChuck@centralfloridabassfishing.com
800-936-7398
Saturday, October 27, 2001

Fishing has been great the last week, both with shiners and artificial.

The north side of the lake in Goblet’s Cove has been a great place. Fish are doing good on traps 1/4 oz. Gold and silver and gold. Also black blue tail worm six to eight inches
along the edge of the hydrilla line on the edge of the grass.

The west side from Shingle Creek working south to the power lines have been a good area. I also have had some nice fish two to five pounds on the inside of the islands on worms. Flukes continue to be a great bait especially early in heavy grass. This is the best way to get big bass. Also, flipping the heavy grass will do well. I have found most of these fish working the boat cuts in and around the grass.

As you go in, watch for bait moving. It does not matter if you just see some small fish working the bait. The other day, I would get four small fish then hit a lunker.

It is the time of year that if you are coming to Florida, to book a guide as soon as you know what day or days you want to fish as this will assure you of getting the best full time
guides.

B.A.S.S. Top 150 Tournament will be held here in December this year. Watch my web page for day to day results.

Great Fishing,

Captain Chuck Matthews
Pro Bass Guide
A Action Bass Guides Professional Services
http://www.centralfloridabassfishing.com

Fishing tip: Swim a worm in the shallow water by pads or pockets in the grass. Crank the worm as fast as you would work a spinner bait. Charlies eight inch red shad has been
productive.

Captain Chuck Matthews 800-936-7398
