I'm taking the family to Bear Lake this weekend. It's been years - decades is more like it - since I've been to Bear Lake. What little recollection I have is that it's more of a recreational lake (waterskiing, wake-boarding, etc.) vs. a fishing hole. But if anyone would care to share any advice, tips, locations, techniques or whatever...I'm all ears!

Most of the north end is to shallow for many fish. If I remember the west side on the southern half is where you would want to be. You can look at a lake map contour by doing a search for it and it will give you some definition as to where to maybe start. Most of the "good" fishing will be in Utah rather than Idaho.
