Simms headwater waders pants
#1
I'm thinking about getting the Simms headwater wader
pants to use on my pontoon boat. Really don't need
chest waders for that.
Does anyone has any experience with those.
Please let me know.
Thank you

i would go with the cabelas dry fork, they are cheaper, just as durable in my opinion and last longer

The ones around $300? Good waders, but in the pontoon, you really only need hippers.
Granted if the weather is bad or you lay the fish in your lap, full bottoms are good.

I got to agree with Koch...you don't need high priced....you only get wet to the knee.

But you do wade fish still right? So, they might be a good idea.

i did not see any dry fork waders there but I found
this premium dry plus waders.
They got 4.5 stars out of 5......................
$110.00

Yes, I will also use them for "light" wading into small
streams and ponds. [Wink]
What do you think about those Cabelas premium plus
wader pants ? [Image: s7_830207_imageset_01?%24main-Large%24]

I know a couple of guys that wear them. They have the Cabela's warranty so what the heck.

I too have the pants...Rivendell.

Just a little Food for thought, allot of the chest waders have the convertible aspect. Meaning you fold the top part down and then they are pants.
The plus to them is, deeper wading (sometimes not by choice) and rain.
Plus warmth on cooler outings.

[#008000][Image: happy.gif]I have a pair of Simms G3 waders which works well for me. They are almost 8 yrs old and nary a blemish. However, I was fortunate enough to receive a free pair of Hodgman wading pants, and while not the quality of a Simms they are most ideal for wading small streams, creeks and tubing. Good thing about them is that they are several hundred dollars cheaper that a pair of Simms. BTW Hodgman is now owned by the Coleman Company.[/#008000]
