Alaska Update day 2
#1
Tonight Jacob called and they had another good day. He hooked up with 4 Ling cod today. The last one was small enought to keep. He said it was like 33" or 34".
He caught his first salmon today. I don't know what they were using but Jacob wanted to change what hye had and fish with a big mister twister halibut jig. He threw it over and a salmon took it. My Uncle changed to a jig and he got one too. The caught a bunch of Black bass, yellow eye, and a lot of ling cod. One fish they got was a "rat fish" Now that is one strange fish. He gets me so worked up after I get off the phone I can hardly go to sleep.
Man I can't wait for pictures!!!!

I love all of the rock bass, there are a huge number of different kinds. I never did know all of their names.

Rat Fish are the weirdest fish I have ever seen.

What part of Alaska are they fishing?

Sorry, read your first post with the area.

Sounds like fun. I sure miss being up there each year.
