I NEED HELP IDENTIFYING THIS FISH!!!

Me and my sister fished in Newport harbor CA and caught this fish. DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHAT IT IS???

It's kind of hard to tell from the picture but my guess would be a juvenile Giant Kelpfish. Here's a pretty informative link about them.
