It's your typical warm water fishery. Cats, largemouths and crappie. I'd ask Mr. Loopy how the fishing is.

I do have a float tube and as far as fish go I am looking to catch most anything. I have done a lot of trout fishing and am looking to try and catch some other species. I will be staying up in pine valley so I am just trying to get as much fishing in as I can without having to travel too far.

If you have a tube, Gunlock could be interesting.

Do you fly fish? If you do, spend some time up at Pinevalley. The fish aren't big, but they are a blast to catch on dries. You could take your tube up to Newcastle. (hedgesd could tell you more about the tactics there)

I know of a place that I was pulling out 5lb. Largemouths before. However it was drained and I am not yet sure if it was restocked. You can pull out larger bass than that out of Quail though. It is more of a trip however.

Just be aware that you can't use your tube on Pine Valley Res.
