PUEBLO, Colo. - Colorado Wildlife Commissioners John Singletary and Tim Glenn will hold a question-and-answer session in Pueblo. The meeting will take place at 6 p.m. on Dec. 8, 2010, in the auditorium at Lake Pueblo State Park.
The purpose of the meeting is to give the public an opportunity to meet their wildlife commissioners, allow the commissioners to hear concerns and suggestions from the public and answer questions about Colorado's wildlife management.
"Folks who want to talk about hunting, fishing, wildlife conservation, or other wildlife issues that concern them should come to the meeting and find out how those issues can be addressed by the Colorado Wildlife Commission," Glenn said.
Persons who wish to attend the meeting can do so without having to purchase a pass to enter the park.
The Colorado Wildlife Commission is a volunteer board appointed by the governor.
The Commission sets Division of Wildlife regulations and policies for hunting, fishing, watchable wildlife and nongame species, including threatened and endangered species.
Nine wildlife commissioners represent five different districts in Colorado in each of the following groups: livestock producers; agricultural or produce growers; sportsmen or outfitters; wildlife organizations; boards of county commissioners; and three public at large positions.
Lake Pueblo State Park is located at 640 Reservoir Rd., Pueblo.
