My First 2011 Bass / Jan 17

It rained a little last night and temps rose into the upper 40's today so I went to the Church Pond around 4pm.

Air temp 45 / water temp 39

Lure: Luck E Strike Football Jig 3/8oz
Watermelon w/purple flake skirt
Black Pork Rind dual tail

Presentation: Long cast into the deepest part of the pond and let sit for 15 seconds. One long pull about two feet and let sink then 3 fast twitches and let sit 10 seconds. Repeat.

This fish is the same size of the one I caught last year to win the Bass Fishing Rival Contest. When we get an official thread for this years contest I will submit this fish as my first entry.

17.5 in. Approximately 2.5 to 3.5lb.

I cant get a first official bass till the last saturday in may.. [:p] any others dont count.

not that I have caught any [angelic]. I had to quit targeting them the last day of december.
