Was looking at trips for the coming year and was wondering if anyone had ever been fishing in the Great Basin area and if they had any tips?

Outside of Ely, NV there are 2 lakes, Comins and Cave Lake.

Comins has Northern Pike and if any are left, some monster Rainbows. I love to get my pike fix.

Cave Lake has mostly stocker rainbows and some hold overs. But there are some MONSTER Browns in that lake. The nevada state record of 27lbs comes from there, but it was caught in the 70's. I have pulled a 9lb brown from there.
