Ex-Coach Rich Brooks Takes Timeout for Fishing
#1
FRANKFORT, Ky. - College football means fall fun and, for retired University of Kentucky head coach Rich Brooks, so does fall fishing. Highlights air on "Kentucky Afield" television this weekend, November 6 and 7.

The hectic life of a top football coach leaves little time to rest on the sidelines, until now. Host Tim Farmer spends the day with the former wildcat coach on a Fayette County farm pond. After a career spanning the NFL and the NCAA, Brooks may have hung up his whistle, but he still wears blue and makes his home in Kentucky. Farmer asks what makes our state so special and the pair look back at some memorable moments.

Another winner on the show is Gavin Stevenson. The 11-year-old champion skeet shooter turns heads as fast as he turns in victories. "Kentucky Afield" cameras join the youngster on the shooting range at the Calvert City Gun Club.

"Kentucky Afield" is a production of the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources. It is the longest continuously running outdoor television show in the nation. The program airs at 8:30 p.m. Eastern /7:30 p.m. Central Saturdays, and repeats at 4 p.m. Eastern/3 p.m. Central Sundays on KET 1.
