WHY: NRP is launching the system for maritime search and rescue, and law enforcement. Speakers to include NRP Superintendent George F. Johnson IV, MLEIN Project Manager Tim Bowman, Gantech System Integrator Michael Hughes and VidSys Regional Manager Michael O'Dea.
Important note: For homeland security reasons, this will be the only opportunity for media access to the NRP Communication Center. Interested media must RSVP by 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday December 14, 2010. CALL JOSH DAVIDSBURG AT 410-260-8002.
DIRECTIONS: FROM BALTIMORE OR DC, - Route 50 East to Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Exit prior to toll booths to Sandy Point State Park/Oceanic Dr. Turn left onto Oceanic Drive and drive to stop sign. Left onto College Parkway, NRP Area Office and Communication Center Complex is on the right.

The Maryland Natural Resources Police (NRP) is the enforcement arm of the Department of Natural Resources (DNR). With an authorized strength of 247 officers and a dedicated staff of civilian and volunteer personnel, the NRP provide a variety of services in addition to maritime, conservation and public lands law enforcement duties throughout the State of Maryland.
