Vernon/Grantsville

I dont have an auger, so I was wondering if anyone knew if Vernon Res or Grantsville were ice free. Latest reports were from December 2010 and said ice was thin and very unsafe. Any info would be appreciated.

Two days ago, the ice at Grantsville had retreated about 30' from the edge, I would say. Lots of open water. Near the inlet there is quite a bit more open water.

Went rabbit hunting over by Vernon. Lake is still frozen, about 10 people ice-fishing.
