Hilton Head surf or bridge fishing

I'm from NC and I visit Hilton Head a few times a year for work. I've always brought my rod and have had marginal luck in a few lagoons on the island. Since I can't bring my boat I'm pretty much stuck on shore. Just wondering if anyone does any surf fishing down there or knows of any bridges or piers in the area that might produce a few fish. Not trying to get in anyone's honey hole but a little help would be greatly appreciated.

You might find some redfish or blue's in the surf. I'd try some live minnows, or fresh cut bait. Sand Fleas are also good bait for around the shallow surf areas. You might want to look up Rick Hoitt. ( I think I spelled it wrong) he's on this site frequently, and catches a lot of fish. He charters out of charleston, right down the road from where you'll be.
