Boating Safety Courses Scheduled

LINCOLN, Neb. - The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission has added several boating safety courses to the schedule so boaters may become certified and safe operators.

The following is a list of courses recently added to the schedule:

March 17 - Norfolk, home study review and test session; March 20 - McCook; March 22, 24 - Norfolk; March 27 - Cambridge; April 16 - Bellevue; May 7 - Council Bluffs, Iowa; June 4 - Council Bluffs, Iowa; and Aug. 6 - Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Anyone operating a motorboat or personal watercraft in Nebraska must be at least 18 years of age but may be ages 14 through 17 if they have passed the Nebraska boating safety course and are in possession of a valid certificate card. However, a boating safety course is recommended for boaters of all ages. Boating safety certification from other states is recognized in Nebraska.
