Fished around the skull island area today with brother-in-law trying to find some crappie, but the crappie were having none of it. This is my first official post, so I hope i get it right. I have been wading this area for a long time, but have just started fishing on my very first boat. Winds were howling pretty good today. Water temps in the slew that I fished ranged from 56-59. Although the crappie werent biting, the catfish sure were. Ended up with 10 cats all caught in 3-5 fow. Largest one being 62 pds. My largest fish ever. Caught on 6 pd. line. Took me a good 20 minutes to net it. Hope I can figure out how to get the pic posted. Have learned alot on this forum, thanks guys.
