Vermont Looking for Information on Boating and Fishing Facilities
#1
WATERBURY, VT - The Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department wants to make it easier for you to find a good place to go fishing or boating by providing more up-to-date information on its website. To be able to do so, the department is asking owners or managers of boating and fishing facilities to fill out an online questionnaire about their facilities.

"The department currently manages over 170 sites on 119 different waterbodies where the public can launch boats or fish from shore, free of charge," said Mike Wichrowski, Vermont Fish and Wildlife's lands and facilities coordinator. "This effort will enhance the department's longstanding access area program by providing the public with additional places to recreate on Vermont's waters."

"We are collecting details on boat ramps, fishing piers, marinas, parks, and other facilities where the public can access the water for recreation," added Wichrowski. "Our goal is to help people find accurate, complete, up-to-date information about private and public water-based recreational opportunities."
