Mmmm, out of curiousity, have you tried getting some local knowledge from the bait and tackle shops in that area? Wade fishing for stripers is not something we do around here. I'm further down in the carolinas.

Usually, the best source of knowledge is the tackle shops. They here all the fish stories when people slide in each morning for bait and ice. They happily share the info, in most instances, because if people are catching fish, they stay in business.

I also will be getting on my boat.I`ll be fishing in 10 to 20 ft of water.This is a island a few miles south of cape cod.
