Emu Feathers for Casting
#1
Has anyone ever used Emu Feathers for making flies? What makes them so special you ask?

First, they do not have a hallow core like every other bird on the planet which means they do not have air pockets for the fly to float. Second, they are the only feather that forks out like a wishbone so you get two sets of feathers for each quill, and lastly, they are not brittle and last so much longer than ever other fly on the market.

They have a natural gray and light brown appearance and Emu feathers make a very buggy addition for streamers, nymph legs, collars, hex flies, and stone flies.

Just a thought. [Image: fish-on.gif]
